28/12/05 Back at the meat factory

Been a bit quiet on the posting front for a week. All because of satellite tv. Not watching, but because of the consequences of fitting it.
Say no more but don't drill through gas pipes sunken in walls 2 days before christmas now will you. Doh!

Thanks to B***, can't tell you his name cos he's claiming off the gov at the mo, hole in the wall and all sorted in 3 hours. Just got to fill this 8" square hole in the wall now

Bits just arrived from Satcure, special delivery. Cost £6 but postage was £4.25, in a jiffy bag so can't complain at all. Now got to get the masonry bits out and start drilling holes in the wall, deep joy as Prof Unwin would say. Multimodus operandi. http://www.stanleyunwin.com/

Signed material from Steve Hackett arrived too www.stevehackett.com

Must ger round to fitting that roland gk2 http://www.roland.co.uk/guitar_room_catdet.asp?ID=GK3, to my shiney new strat http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0134600532

21/12/05 Satellites and other strange animals

Gone a little mad, again, ordered sonar http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/studio.asp from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk

Awaiting a CPC order www.cpc.co.uk for satellite parts so I can finally fully install the dish so stuff sky! Choose your own package they say ,not is the reply, I don't want 24hour inane quizes that test the mental ability of amoebas. I want the sport and 40 squids a month is extracting the micturation fluid.

What else is happening? Wanted a wall rack for orgainising cables in the studio, cost a fortune. Mother came up with the idea to use cloths hangers that fit over the door. 3 for £13 from argos http://www.argos.co.uk/

Ordered some Genesis http://www.genesis-music.com/ related badges from Pete Wood via ebay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Woods-World

And some other bits and pieces from Satcure http://www.satcure.co.uk/. Cracking place for info and bits if you fancy a go a giving the dirty digger less of your money!

Cakewalk went better today, nearly there. Doing a remix of this is the 21st century http://www.marillion.com/music/albums/anorak.htm

Back pain prevents further progress. Secondary care in this area is so poor I even went private!

Cakewalk aaaaaagh

Tonight trick is importing 16 track wav to bounce down to 2 track stereo using cakewalk (all I've got like). Now remember, when importing a stereo wav to import every other track or else you bounce together the left hand channel with the previous right hand channel. Some nice effects but very hard to understand at the time. 16 track wave is now looking like 25 track, not all channels were stereo now I've found out! Back to the red hot mixerhttp://www.cakewalk.com
